HOW TO SIGN-UP FOR OUR LESSON PROGRAM Happy Horse Stables offers lessons in packages as well as on a week by week basis. An assessment lessons is required for all new students with previous riding experience before placing them in our group or private lessons. All new riders must take private lessons until they can confidently walk and trott off the lunge line. Lessons are booked with Susanne and require payment in advance of lessons.
HOW TO CANCEL A LESSON All cancellations must be with 48 hours notice, otherwise we have to charge you for the missed lesson! We carefully balance a horse’s schedule to accommodate each lesson and require notice when canceling and re-scheduling lessons to give each horse a fair work load.
WHEN TO ARRIVE FOR YOUR LESSON Each student is responsible for properly grooming, saddling and bridling their horse. Students should arrive at least 1/2 hour prior to their lesson to allow time for these tasks. Students arriving late are still expected to thoroughly groom the horse. We will not hold lessons up for a late arrival. For all new riders who are still learning, help will be provided.
STABLE PROCEDURES Horses must be properly groomed before and after riding and all equipment must be cleaned and returned to their proper location. Please allow time before and after lessons for these tasks. Please see the Safety Rules and Procedures fur further information. We have made an effort to label everything and provide extra help to novice riders. Please use the resources provided and do not hesitate to ask questions.
LAST, BUT NOT LEAST Each student needs to be an OEF member. How to sign-up for OEF membership either check out their website www.horse.on.ca or ask us for assistance.
