Custom Equestrian Lessons at Happy Horse Stables – Children’s Riding Programs

In addition to our strong foundation of classical dressage, we have special programs for children that promote riding education, riding skills and confidence building, in a safe and supportive environment. We teach children as young as five years old. Each child is unique, and we design a training program that is individually tailored to meet your childs ability and interests. Our stable of horses and ponies is well trained, responsive and safe. Classes are small with plenty of individual attention.

For the younger children, we offer a special course, “Introduction to horses/ ponies”. It is all about safety around those big animals, as well as riding.

Level 1 (private):

Level 2 and up (group):

Summer Riding Day Camp for the Little Ones

Is your child between the age of 5 to approx. 10 years of age and already going to kindergarten?
Then you might want to consider signing your child up for our one week of Summer Riding Day Camp.

July 12 to 16, 2010, 9.30am ‘til 12:30pm
      Monday through Friday

The children will learn many things about horses. They’ll have fun and learn a lot about happy ponies.

This camp is especially designed for the younger kids. We use ponies, trained specifically to keep the smaller children safe and who tolerate the higher level of noise and action, that accompanies children.

Activities include pony care - learn about what a pony’s needs are from grooming to feeding and exercise -
2 daily riding lessons, games and VAULTING (providing we have a horse suitable).

We’ll try our best to have a visit from a veterinarian and/ or from a farrier.

The cost is $ 195.00 incl. GST

What you need to bring with you:
- An Equestrian Helmet - ASTM approved - properly  fitted
- Comfortable Pants
- Boots with a heel
- Sun screen and bug repellent for Summer Camp
- your own healthy Snack and Lunch from Monday through Friday
