FIRST CLASS BOARDING AT HAPPY HORSE STABLES - A HAPPY HORSE MAKES A GREAT HORSE!
|
Starting July 1st, 2011 we offer indoor board only in quiet adult facility. We cater to the competitive or non-competitive rider of all disciplines.
Stalls are foaling stall size or bigger!!!
Private or semi-private lessons available with former GP rider (dressage). Lots of time available to ride in indoor arena, not a busy lesson barn as the coach travels for coaching as well.
This includes indoor at night, single turn-out, our grain, supplements (will be fed but supplied by the owner), grass in summer and hay in the winter. In summer time horses will be turned-out at night and kept in the stall during the day. Fresh water available inside or outside 24/7, heated in winter. Excellent hay. Most fields have a shelter.
In addition to her 30+ years of practical experience, Susanne has had both medical and veterinary training. Veterinary training was done at a horse clinic in Switzerland; medical training includes certification for “Emergency Patient Care - Level 1” and CPR, and a university degree in “Nutrition for Maximum Performance" and “Health and Disease Management.” All the staff is trained in Equine First Aid.
Quality health care for our horsey friends is provided by Peter Oddie, DVM, from St. Lawrence Vet Services and Jim Garven, Smith Falls Vet Services and they are on call 24/7. The horses are all on a regular deworming schedule.
Boarders have full use of our training and riding facilities. We have a full size 20m x 40m indoor riding arena with heated upper viewing room, large sand ring (20m x 60m), another sand ring (25m x 33m), round pen and cross country jumping trails. The riding schools are well groomed. We have lovely riding trails on our property. They traverse a variety of landscapes and ecosystems, and we keep them clear of windfall. In addition, our property has direct access to the Cataraqui Trail system where you can ride for miles and miles. The "Happy Horse Talk" deck overlooks the fields and pond, providing a great spot to sit and relax, wait for your ride, or have a drink and chat about Horses, the World and Everything.
Come out and check it out, let your horse experience quality care and have the peace of mind that even if you can't come out regularly you know your equine friend is taken first class care of.
